ABOUT ORGANIZATION (VISION / MISSION / OBJECTIVES)

The first Govt. nominated "The Tripura State Medical Council" was constituted on 19.04.2011 and the members of the Council were nominated by the State Government. Therefore, the first Elected "The Tripura State Medical Council" was constituted in the month of December, 2014, and Members of the Council were Elected by Election process.

THE OBJECTIVES OF THE COUNCIL

1. To register the names of the Medical Practitioners holding recognized medical qualification who are practicing in the state of Tripura and to issue provisional and permanent registration certificate as per MCI norms.


2. To maintain the medical register and updating the same.


3. To maintain Code of Conduct of the medical practitioners registered under the Council.


4. To take action against erring doctors.


5. To award CME Credit hours to registered medical practitioners attending CMEs by different recognized medical organisations with in the state.
